T., 1916 (15063 ) ''Larval and postlarval fishes.'' British Antarctic ("Terra Nova") Expedition (1910-1913). Zoology v. 1 (no. 4): 125-156, Pls. 1-10.〕 It is a marine, deep water-dwelling eel which is known from throughout the southern regions of the ocean, with the exception of the eastern Pacific.
